Most Expensive Baby Stroller: Is There a Clear Winner?

A stroller may be advertised as the most expensive based on a particular collection, a one-off design, or a price at the time it launched; those are different claims, and prices can change. We would treat any definitive ranking cautiously unless it identifies the exact model, what was included, and the price being compared.

For a newborn, determine whether the stroller offers an appropriate newborn setup, such as a suitable bassinet or a seat approved for use from birth, and follow the stroller manufacturer’s instructions. Then try folding and lifting it, measure it against your doorway and trunk, and consider how its wheels and storage will work on the routes you actually take.

Our guide to newborn stroller cushion fit and car seat safety features our Baby Stroller & Car Seat Cushion with Head Protection for Newborns, but the cushion is a separate consideration from choosing a stroller. Before adding any cushion or insert, follow the stroller or car seat manufacturer’s instructions on accessories and fit; in a car seat, an unapproved insert can interfere with how the harness fits your baby.

A premium model may be worth considering if its size, features, and handling suit your routine and you’re comfortable with its cost, not simply because it has an exclusive name. You may get more useful information from an in-person fit and fold test than from a “most expensive” label, especially if you regularly use stairs, transit, or a small car.
